Memberships & accreditations

As a graduate of the Victoria Law School, you will join a network of professionally recognised practitioners. All of our legal courses are accredited by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB), and our migration courses are accredited by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).

We can generate the following documents required by VLAB as part of your application for admission to the Victorian Legal Board:

  • completion letter
  • certificate recognising competency in Priestly 11 subjects
  • conduct report
  • academic transcript.

Studying honours in law at Victoria University does not require an additional year. The core units required for honours can be completed during your degree.

Our innovative Block Model means you can start law and justice units at a range of different intake times throughout the year. Kirby Moot

This four-day annual competition is one of the largest moot court competitions in Australia. It is Australia’s only Contract Law Moot. Winners of this competition win prize money and usually go on to compete in international mooting competitions.

Adjuncts are honorary staff who typically simultaneously hold an appropriate position in another institution, in government, or in the private sector and have a significant involvement in developing an aspect of the University and the Victoria Law School.

This could be involvement as a mentor, as part of guest lectures, mooting competitions, summer and winter schools, international exchanges or providing relevant input to the curriculum.
