Our latest local-government partnership, with Moonee Valley City Council in Melbourne's northwest, delivers skills and career programs designed to uplift local communities.
About the partnership
Victoria University is proud to collaborate with Moonee Valley City Council on unique training programs that benefit marginalised groups such as migrant and refugee women.
Initiatives include workshops where participants build confidence, leadership skills and their understanding of career and training opportunities. In particular, these programs benefit women looking to get back into the workforce, change career, or start a business.
'VU in the Community' and VU Polytechnic’s Skills and Jobs Centre play an important role developing and implementing the program activities.
