PEXA (Property Exchange Australia)

In March 2023 PEXA Group Limited, operator of the world’s first digital property exchange platform and Victoria University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the digital talent of tomorrow.

This partnership includes the establishment of a PEXA Academy at VU's City Campus.

About PEXA

PEXA (Property Exchange Australia) is Australia’s online property exchange network. It assists members – such as lawyers, conveyancers and financial institutions – to lodge documents with Land Registries and complete financial settlements electronically.

Since 2014, more than 13 million transactions have occurred via PEXA. Today, more than 85% per cent of all property transfer settlements in Australia are processed on the PEXA platform.

As of June 2022, 98% of Australian housing loan refinances nationally were completed via PEXA Exchange.

Our collaboration

The Major Alliance between VU and PEXA includes the following exciting initiatives:

PEXA will have a presence at the VU City Tower Campus for delivery of their PEXA Academy operations, providing unique opportunities to collaborate, co-design and facilitate engagement with VU students and staff
PEXA and VU will foster the next generation of students ensuring they are job ready and have the digital skills of the future. This includes opportunities within the PEXA Graduate Program, as well as internship and capstone projects
in 2023, PEXA will contribute $10,000 towards technology focused, merit-based student awards and VU’s program of student support initiatives
VU will support PEXA on the delivery of its internal learning and development program for employees
there will be a strong focus on diversity and inclusion collaborations - an important value to both organisations. This will allow us to work on sharing learning and knowledge, to further existing inclusion initiatives.
