You'll feel safer knowing that a security guard is on-board.

The service operates during semester, Swotvac and exams to and from the Footscray and St Albans campuses. See the academic calendar for relevant semester dates.

Footscray shuttle buses

This bus travels between:

  • the Flemington Victorian Racing Club, Riverbank car park (Stop 1 on live shuttle bus tracker)
  • Footscray Park Campus (Stop 2 on live shuttle bus tracker) and
  • the Footscray Station/Market car park (Stop 3 on live shuttle bus tracker).

The bus service commences at 6.30am at the Flemington Victorian Racing Club, Riverbank car park and the last bus leaves Footscray Park campus at 10pm.

The bus stop on Ballarat Road has been moved near the Footscray Bowls Club, approximately 250 metres west of Footscray Park Campus, until 2025, due to the new hospital building works.

Pick up/Drop off points are located at:

  • Footscray Train Station, approximately 50m up Irving Street (towards Nicholson Street) (Stop 3 on live shuttle bus tracker)
  • In front of Building G/A, Footscray Park Campus, Ballarat Road (stop 2 on live shuttle bus tracker)
  • Flemington Victorian Racing Club, Riverbank car park (Stop 1 on live shuttle bus tracker)

Shuttle buses run from 6.30am–10.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is also an excellent option for those travelling to campus via Footscray Train Station.

Additional shelter option - Ballarat Road bus stop

We have recently made covered waiting areas available at the entrance of Buildings C and A (see image below).

Pick up/Drop off points are located at:

  • Parking Meter Area of the Flemington Victorian Racing Club, Riverbank car park, and
  • Rear of Building L, Gate 3, along Farnsworth Avenue where the blue arrow points (see image below)

Both areas have received a lighting upgrade to improve visibility and an increased security presence. 

The additional shuttle van runs from 6.30am–10.30am and 3.30pm–7.30pm, Monday to Friday.

St Albans shuttle bus

This bus goes between St Albans Campus and the St Albans Railway station.

St Albans shuttle bus route

Morning route

The route:

  1. starts from St Albans Railway Station (Stop 3)
  2. proceeds south along campus road to Fitness Centre bus stop
  3. stops at Building 11, Fitness Centre (Stop 2)
  4. stops at Building 10 (Stop 1)
  5. proceeds to Sunshine Hospital then back to St Albans Railway Station where the route starts again.

Afternoon route

The route:

  1. starts from Sunshine Hospital
  2. proceeds West along Furlong Road to to Building 10
  3. stops at Building 10 (Stop 1)
  4. stops at Building 11, Fitness Centre (Stop 2)
  5. continues to St Albans Railway Station (Stop 3)
  6. proceeds back to Sunshine Hospital from St Albans Railway Station where the route starts again.
