The University is led by Professor Adam Shoemaker, who became the fourth Vice-Chancellor and President of Victoria University on 14 December 2020. The Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the University Council and is responsible to Council for ensuring that the University is well led and managed, for promoting its educational excellence and for securing its financial sustainability.
The Chancellor, Steve Bracks, as the Chair of the University Council, is the champion of effective and ethical governance, and leads a dynamic team of councillors in their strategic decision making and oversight of the University’s operations.
