Gail is a forward-looking and commercially-focused executive with a track record of driving strategic growth and transformation for VU, with a focus on digital education and future workforce needs.

In her role as Executive Director, Digital Transformation & Quality Learning at Victoria University (VU), Gail harnesses her entrepreneurial vision to forge and cement partnerships across industry, government, community, and academia. Gail engages stakeholders to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, designing future-focused strategies and solutions to deliver the skills required to drive the digital economy.

During 10 years with VU, most recently as Director of Wyndham Tech School, Gail has championed digital innovation and set the agenda for the growth of a dedicated Digital Tech division within the University.

She has led the successful digital transformation of 100+ VET qualifications, integrated emerging technologies into existing qualifications, and led the creation of world-class digital education facilities – including VU’s Innovation Space at the Sunshine Skills Hub, and the Cybersecurity Training Centre at St Albans Campus.

Gail is a passionate advocate for Melbourne’s west, believing through strong partnerships with government, industry and the community that VU has what it takes to become a global leader by 2028, and in doing so help the community we serve reach its full potential.
