Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - worked within established guidelines to contribute to the planning and reviewing of services which meet the needs of at least 3 people, and; - contributed to the planning processes by communicating effectively with the person and other stakeholders using active listening and questioning.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - role and responsibilities of different people in the planning process; - human development across the lifespan and influences on service delivery; - strengths-based planning processes; - features and modes of service delivery; - legal and ethical considerations related to planning and service delivery and how these are applied in an organisation and individual practice; - risk management considerations and ways of minimising risk, and; - continuous improvement processes.
