VU22385 - Plan and undertake a project

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - read and interpret a range of information requirements related to the project; - record information related to the progress and completion of the project; - discuss resource requirements and progress of the project with those involved; - gather information to undertake the project; - follow an action plan to complete the project according to identified time frames and processes; - problem solving skills to identify contingencies to deal with unplanned obstacles related to the project such as notifying relevant staff of a problem; - learning skills to apply own knowledge and interests to selection of project activity, and; - personal management skills to manage own activities within the project. Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - methods to present and record information for the project; - potential barriers to completing a project and strategies to manage these, and; - different approaches to undertake a project.
