Peter Noonan celebrated at official book launch
The book 'Rethinking Tertiary Education: Building on the Work of Peter Noonan' has had its official release at Victoria University’s City Tower.
The VU City Campus features the brand-new, sustainable, 32-level VU City Tower in the heart of Melbourne's central business district (CBD) and legal precinct.
Nearby, at 295 Queen Street, a classic, traditional building houses our law and justice courses, the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre and the law library.
The campus consolidates a number of VU's former city facilities.
Victoria University’s most ambitious campus opened in 2022 to thousands of students in the heart of Melbourne’s legal and commercial district. After five years of construction, the 32-level VU City Tower ushers in an exciting new era for the University.
Melbourne’s latest educational landmark consolidates VU’s business and law schools in one location and offers both higher education and vocational learning, from practical TAFE certificates through to PhDs.
Showcasing VU’s unique approach to dual-sector learning, a single entrance opens the doors to opportunities across a range of emerging professional areas.
At 370 Little Lonsdale Street, the VU City Tower features a selection of dynamic and interactive learning spaces, including purpose-built practical classrooms and clinics, informal learning spaces, and collaboration spaces of different sizes. There's a cafe on the ground floor and on level 10, and on level one you'll find IT support and student services.
The room number system for the VU City Tower is as follows: T1205 = Building T (the VU City Tower), Level 12, Room 05.
At 295 Queen Street, across the road from the City Tower, you'll find the Victoria Law School administration centre, law moot courts, the law library, seminar rooms and a prayer room. There's also a student lounge in the basement.
