This unit (VHH1007) will provide students with a fundamental theoretical and technical understanding of organisational behaviour and management theories, with a particular focus on the application of these within a hospitality or hotel environment. Students will design and communicate solutions to unpredictable and complex organisational issues through the application of core organisational and management theory. The practical application of this knowledge will focus on managing diversity in the workplace, managing conflict, leading and managing people, and the operational elements of human resources within a hospitality and hotel management context.
