The unit is designed to provide an introduction to basic Chinese with the emphasis on developing listening and speaking skills. In this unit, students will learn expressions used in different situations, e.g. to apologise, praise, congratulate and persuade others. The unit aims at expanding students' Chinese vocabulary and to give students an intermediate level of Chinese grammar.
