The unit is one of a suite of specialist supply chain and logistics management units within the Bachelor of Business (Supply Chain and Logistics Management). The unit complements study undertaken in other specialist units in the areas of logistics and distribution. This unit (BMO3418) introduces the application of theory to the analysis of operations, policies and challenges in the transport sector. This analysis is carried out against a background of the importance to an economy of a highly developed transport sector. Issues explored will centre on the transport of goods and people at both national and international levels. Key topics include transport planning, control and strategy, safety regulations, and technology in transport management.
