A broad understanding of the international business environment is essential to business decision-making. This unit (BEO2002) introduces students to the multi-faceted nature of international business and builds the foundation for more specialised studies by providing a multi-disciplinary examination of issues faced by firms in international markets. An exploration of the international business environment includes global trade and investment, the regulatory environment, organisational structure, management practices and corporate strategy. Students work collaboratively in critically analysing international business case studies and the challenges of globalisation in selected contexts.
