The unit of study critiques the strategic and organisational issues of process management and the use of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs) to realise efficient processes. Designing and implementing efficient business processes can provide important strategic advantages for businesses. This unit (BCO5501) of study will describe the major strategic approaches' used to understand, analyse and implement efficient business processes. Workflow modelling techniques, process modelling techniques and procedure models will be presented and practiced. SAP S/4 HANA as an example of Enterprise Application Software, will be used to examine the issues that students are likely to encounter in identifying, reorganising and implementing processes in a typical business organisation.
