The unit introduces students to financial accounting concepts and practices required for processing transactions and producing and interpreting accounting reports within the context of accounting standards and internal and external user requirements. It develops students' professional attributes as they investigate transactions and financial reports that face contemporary businesses. The unit also critically commentates upon international financial accounting issues.
