This unit (APT6016) of study will provide a foundation of counselling micro skills. There will be discussion of settings in which counselling occurs, an introduction to basic counselling skills, and understanding of how to use these skills in assessment. Through role-plays and class activities, students will practice counselling micro skills and undertake development of case formulations.
