This unit (SSM1203) aims to develop an understanding of people management as it relates to the delivery of sport and community development and outdoor adventure services. Topics covered include organisational purpose; role design; recruitment; orientation, training and development; staff performance; retention of varied personnel; and remuneration. The understandings and skills gained in this unit will assist students in their Career and Professional Development units, industry placements and workforce employment.
