Assessment
Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.
Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills:
- access and correctly interpret information from two (2) different sources about four (4) different products or services from the organisational range, and;
- interact with four (4) different customers, each with different product and service requirements, to recommend suitable products or services to be chosen individually or jointly from a range of: hair products and services; barbering products and services; beauty products and services; retail cosmetic products and services.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge:
- sources and format of product and service information;
- details of organisational product and service range;
- basic aspects of Australian Consumer Law as it applies to performance claims, guarantees and product returns, and;
- organisational procedures for recommending hair, barbering, beauty or cosmetic products and services.
