This project-based unit will introduce you to a range of key concepts in physical and social sustainability principles; Environmental Perception, Environmental Psychology and Environment Behaviour, that you can apply within buildings and communities. In this commercial design project, you will conduct a site survey, site analysis, conceptual plan, architectural drawings and working drawings with construction details. Students will use precedent studies to generate diversity in students' design approach to architecture. Spatial design and designing for effective circulation, disabled access and emergency egress is also covered. Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) assessment and integration into design and construction will be conducted at the end of the design project.
