This unit (HPP7002) refers to the placement at the VU Psychology clinic. This placement comprises a total of 300 hours that are completed as part of HPP7001 Practicum 1 and this unit, HPP7002 Practicum 2. While the objectives are similar to Practicum 1, the level of independent practice further challenges the student to broaden their responsibilities beyond those learned in the first unit. They will be expected to consider therapeutic issues and apply techniques to a more advanced level. This will be reflected in their interaction with clients, standard of case formulations, and sensitivity to therapeutic process and case management issues.
