This unit (HBD1202) provides students with the knowledge and skills required for effective communication with clients, colleagues and industry representatives in a professional clinical environment. As part of the learning experience, consideration is given to legal, ethical and privacy requirements alongside the concepts of social and cultural diversity in the workplace. Students will be guided in how to confidently perform an effective consultation, as optimal communication between the dermal therapist and the client is required to ensure the safety and efficacy of dermal therapies procedures.
