This unit (ASN1004) introduces students to the foundational elements of writing for film, television and other screen media platforms. Students will learn about narrative structure, character development, formatting and style conventions for both fiction and non-fiction works. Students will critically reflect on the history of script writing for screen and on existing works across a diverse range of genres.
This unit provides constructive feedback to assist students in the conceptual development and writing of an original screenplay.
