The focus of this unit is an in-depth exploration of a variety of approaches to engage learners across a range of digital environments. Students will investigate key affordances of digital learning strategies and how these can enhance learner engagement. These insights will be contextualised by multi-faceted dimensions of accessibility, including learner contexts with the intention of motivating learners and adapting content to best meet individual learner needs. Students will apply these insights to emerging forms of technology, such as chatbots, to prototype developments incorporating new technology, Students will be encouraged to add their prototype to the course-based portfolio The unit will conclude with an evaluation of the impact of prototype designs and identify research questions for further investigation as a response to future-proofing learning.
