This unit (ACO2012) further develops technical, interpretive and self-evaluation skills in music practice. Students are assisted in evaluating their technical, interpretative and improvisation skills. Students are further instructed in a range of underpinning theoretical knowledge in general musicianship. Students are assisted in investigating and understanding extended musicological concepts relating to musical repertoire and performance. Students are guided in setting goals, strategies, exercises and practice routines. The primary focus of the unit is the creation and preparation of an advanced program of musical works to present intermediate technical, improvisational and interpretive challenges.
