Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.
Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: (REQUIRED SKILLS:)
- communication skills to:
- consult with a support person to plan, organise and review a practical placement
- meet with workplace personnel and clarify information about work activities and responsibilities
- literacy skills to:
- complete workplace documentation as required
- read and understand workplace documents / signs / procedures
- identify commonly used workplace terms
- self management skills to review own performance and identify needs related to future work options
- teamwork skills to cooperate with others.
