This unit (NIT3114) introduces broad fundamental concepts of business information systems, online systems, e-commerce and information management in organisations. The unit will address designing and developing online business systems along with other topics including types of business websites, information strategies, , social media use by businesses, Enterprise systems, information security and risk management. Information ethics and information privacy are also addressed in this unit. Current online business system trends and likely future developments and applications of information systems will also be discussed.
