This unit (NIT1203) investigates aspects of professional practice and specific tasks that need to be undertaken in order to initiate and implement an IT project.
Content includes many aspects of project management, definition of a project; characteristics of IT projects; project life cycle; project team; project management aspects; scope, time, cost, quality, human resource; communications, risk, procurement, and integration management; project planning and scheduling; Critical Path Method (CPM); project execution and monitoring; project closure; project management software.
