This Non-Award unit will assist practising Australian Lawyers to enhance their skills in this very specialised area – Migration Law and it will equip them with greater confidence in dealing with migration cases and clients. It is specifically targeted at lawyers wishing to practice in the migration law field in light of the deregulation of the Migration industry that is currently taking place. It will assist students in navigating the maze of prescriptive regulations, as well as understanding the visa application process, cancellation and review mechanisms.

Learning Outcomes
1. | Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the various levels of legislation, case law and policy and the Australian immigration system through interpretation and application of Australian migration law in a variety of scenarios; | ||
