This unit (JQU0018) of study will introduce students to the anatomy and physiology of the major systems of the human body and their close interdependence. Topics covered in this unit of study include the function and structure of cells, the major systems of the human body (skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, endocrine and reproductive). Basic pathological processes underlying disease will be explored, followed by investigation of the major disorders associated with organ systems.
