Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: *Describe and evaluate purpose, features, attributes and potential applications of: - three emerging technologies - three emerging practices in the ICT sector *Develop a strategy to respond to each of the three emerging technologies and three emerging practices, including: - potential organisational opportunities and threats resulting from the emerging technology and practice - likely impact on current organisational technologies and practices - objectives of the organisation in responding to the emerging technology or practice - changes required in order to achieve intended objectives of the organisation - considerations for how to implement the changes required Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: *Research approaches for emerging technologies and practices in the ICT sector and their potential impact on current technologies and practices *Technology implementation planning methods *Organisational technologies and practices
