Integrated Practice 1 aims to equip students with the foundation skills and knowledge required to assimilate into clinical placements and practice. This includes a robust understanding of public health and private health models of care, professional & ethical conduct, a biopsychosocial approach to healthcare and practical components of clinical practice including motivational interviewing, interpreting clinical investigations and generating management plans based on critical analysis. Additionally, students will be introduced to the role of the multidisciplinary team and the importance of an integrated approach to patient care across the life span and inclusive of indigenous and culturally diverse populations.
