This unit (HBD2201) provides an introduction to research methodology and how it can be applied to the aesthetics industry. Students will examine the importance of proper research design in evidence-based practice. Concepts include comparing and contrasting quantitative and qualitative research designs, principles of reliability and validity and their importance in measurement, and various forms of data analysis will be discussed. Students will be guided through the process of how research is developed, data collected, analysed and reports are written.
