This unit (HBD1201) introduces students to the basic principles of anatomy and biology for dermal science. It encompasses knowledge regarding the musculoskeletal and nervous systems in a context relevant to face and body treatments, and introduces students to the functions, structure and thermoregulatory role of the integumentary system. The skin and its appendages are reviewed with regards to structure and function.

| 1. | Review the structure of the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis relevant to the practice of facial and body treatments; | ||
