This unit (EPM5700) addresses the ways in which Information Technology (IT) can facilitate the project management process in different ways such as scheduling, planning, and monitoring and control. It focuses on the application of Project Management Information Systems such as software used for scheduling to support managing projects. Several useful project management tools and techniques for managing IT projects will be reviewed. In addition to these, students will learn about different project life cycle types suitable for managing IT projects such as adaptive lifecycle or agile methodology.
