Project management applies those technical and human skills that lead to project success. Project governance is the system and framework that ensures project decisions are made in alignment with the organisational governance policies and procedures. This aligns with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) guidelines. This unit (EPM5620) of study will allow students to identify and develop processes through which a project governance framework can be set up and applied to projects in any organisation. This will involve a practical application of the principles on a project where the project governance framework is analysed for its ability to prevent project failure.
