Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: *prepare and deliver at least two different presentations. In the course of the above, the candidate must: *use aids and materials to support the presentation *select and implement methods to review the effectiveness of presentation and document suggested improvements Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: *information collection methods that support review and feedback of presentations *organisational and legislative obligations and requirements relevant to presentations *structure of presentations according to intended outcomes *principles of effective communication including: -persuasive communication techniques -verbal and non-verbal communication *presentation methods *different aids, materials and techniques that can be used for presentations
