This unit (BMO2000) is designed for the Bachelor of Business with a specialisation in Human Resource Management. Human resource management introduces the principal activities that make up the human resource function in organisations. The students will investigate the link between human resource management practices and organisational performance. Topics covered include: HRM in Australia; ethical and legal foundations of HRM; workforce planning, job analysis and design; staffing the workplace; performance development and review, and performance management systems; rewards management and employee health and safety.
