This unit (BHO2193) provides students with practical knowledge of designing and delivering tourism products. These products are designed in the context of particular businesses within the travel and tourism sector including travel agents, tour operators and transport. Students will examine the evolving nature of tourism distribution and the development of products and experiences, with an emphasis on innovative design. Specific issues addressed include: the management of travel operations; the development of innovative travel products; packaging; regulatory requirements; technological options; electronic distribution and communication; and intersectoral relationships.
