This unit (ASC3007) introduces students to social research in youth and community-focused settings. Students will participate in and be able to articulate practices in professional and bureaucratic contexts and will develop skills in: preparing literature reviews; planning for change; goals and outcomes setting; framework and tool development, data collection, interpretation and analysis in social research; and planning, writing and presenting to professional audiences. The unit of study encourages students to work collaboratively, whilst also assisting them to be reflective and analytical practitioners.
