Television production introduces students to the pre-production, production, and post-production techniques used in single camera and multi-camera television production. While some exercises are individual, students spend most of the unit in production units of six to eight members working on a variety of exercises ranging from short narrative scenes and multi-camera interviews to short multi-camera scenes from soap operas. Students gain experience in using studio cameras, vision-switching, floor-managing, audio production techniques, directing, producing, performance and lighting techniques for television production.
