Overview

This Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Refresher TNABG course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest.

Course delivery

This course will be delivered in a combination of self-paced online activities and assessments and a face-to-face session. The delivery model consists of:

  • online self-paced e-learning activities and assessments
  • practical face-to-face workshop delivery.

The e-learning activities and assessments will be sent via email a week prior to the face-to-face delivery. These are compulsory and will need to be successfully completed prior to attending the face-to-face practical workshop.

Participants will need to have successfully completed all activities, assessments and the face-to-face workshop to receive a certificate.

Short course dates and times: 

The CPR course content is based on Australian Resuscitation guidelines. CPR Statement of Attainment is valid for one year.

Course contents

In order to be issued a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency within TNABG CPR (Refresher), a student must successfully undertake the following unit:

CORE UNITS

Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Credit Transfers

Previous completion of units at the Polytechnic or any other Registered Training Organisation and/or previous attainment of skills and knowledge may be credited towards this course.

This Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation guidelines.

The course consists of one (1) hour elearning and three(3) hours (half day) face to face delivery.

Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee you entry into this course. Some courses receive more applications than the number of places available. In this situation we will also assess your education, work and other relevant experience.
