The research project is the capstone unit of the criminology degree. Students will work in small teams to collaboratively undertake the research project planned in Crime Research and Methods. They will implement that planned project by collecting, analysing and interpreting the data and writing a final report on the findings. The project will be conducted as per VU ethics requirements.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. Conduct a research project including collection and analysis of research data within ethical and practical constraints;  
  2. Synthesise literature, data and experience in the interpreting research findings;  
  3. Exemplify a scholarly approach to develop a concise, clearly structured research report.
