This unit (APH4012) of study is designed to provide students with experience in planning, conducting and reporting a research project. The broad aim is to promote the development of the student as an independent researcher. The area of content will reflect the student's and thesis supervisor's research interests. Students will design and carry out an independent investigation and report their findings in a thesis or research report. The thesis is a compulsory component completed over two semesters via enrolment in this unit and Extended Research Thesis. The time allocation of this unit for a full-time student should reflect one half of the total course time during the semester.
