Develop, manage and enhance your workplace relationship skills with the Introduction to Managing Workplace Relationships THABL short course at Victoria University Polytechnic.

This professional-development workshop is suitable for individuals from any industry, job role, community or sporting organisation.

It provides participants with a foundational awareness and understanding of skills to manage and enhance workplace relationships.

At the completion of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • describe team communication tools and strategies
  • gather ideas and feedback from team members
  • identify tools and strategies to build trust within a team
  • identify potential barriers to establishing and maintaining positive workplace relationships.

Learning outcomes

This workshop will provide participants with a foundational awareness and understanding of skills to build and maintain workplace relationships. This program is offered to individuals, who are seeking to better manage their current work role responsibilities or to expand their skills set to access employment or promotion.

The program is delivered over two (2) half day workshops via an online platform, facilitator led delivery will provide an overview of platform being utilised and expectations of participation whilst ensuring any participant technology issues are addressed. This course will be facilitated via webinar or zoom scheduled times, including short videos, and electronic resources provided to participants and involves group discussions to support the key principles related to managing workplace relationships.

At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

•Describe team communication tools and strategies

•Gather ideas and feedback from team members

•Identify tools and strategies to build trust within a team

•Describe strategies to manage differences of opinion and perspective

•Identify potential barriers to establishing and maintaining positive workplace relationships

The program requires participants to have basic level computer skills to access and operate the online learning software to navigate a webpage and find information, attend a webinar using zoom or webex for online delivery. If the course is being delivered face-to-face onsite, computer access is not required.
