Join a growing industry

The recent move to remote, digital work due to COVID-19 has pushed the need for rapid digital transformation across multiple industries and organisations at a national and global level.

Post COVID-19, digitally supported remote-work practices are to become more common place, and have driven the need to have an increased understanding of cyber safety, both personal and professional.

On top of this, the cybersecurity industry is growing rapidly, with the ITPA report estimating Australia would need another 11,000 Cybersecurity specialists over the next decade.

Learning outcomes

This introduction to Cybersecurity course utilises the Cisco Network Academy 'Intro to Cybersecurity' program to provide participants with a basic understanding of cybersecurity as an industry, and how to work safely in a digital environment.

Participants will work through the Cisco learning resources online, let by a qualified CCAI instructor from VU Polytechnic. Upon completion of the program individuals will have an increased understanding of cybersecurity trends and will have a general understanding of how to work safely online and how cybersecurity impacts an organisation.

The program is delivered over two (2) weeks with access to a two (2) hour facilitated interactive webinar. These sessions are recorded to enable participates to allow flexibility for the learner to complete the online material
