Develop a continuous-learning mindset, and learn to design and implement development strategies for your team, with the Building the Team short course at Victoria University Polytechnic.
This professional-development workshop is suitable for individuals from any industry, job role, community or sporting organisation.
It provides participants with an introductory understanding of building a team.
At the completion of the workshop, you will be able to:
- identify and use techniques to identify the development needs of your team
- begin to develop effective learning and development plans for your team members
- understand more clearly how to effectively coach and/or mentor members of your team
- begin to develop strategies to monitor and record the development progress of your team members and adjust strategies if necessary.
Learning outcomes
The ever accelerating pace of change requires constant adjustment and learning for organisations and individuals to remain relevant and succeed. This requires a continuous learning approach to ensure the challenges of change are overcome and the opportunities are capitalised. In this course, participants will learn the importance of workplace learning, gain a continuous learning mindset and develop the ability to design and implement a range of development strategies for their team.
Outcomes for this course will help individuals to develop introductory team building skills.
