Industry adjuncts
The Victoria University Business School has appointed a number of key industry leaders as adjuncts, focusing in particular on industries such as tourism and events, financial services, supply chain and logistics, sport and recreation/health services.
Industry adjuncts are honorary staff who typically simultaneously hold an appropriate position in another institution, in government, or in the private sector and have a significant involvement in developing an aspect of the University’s links with industry, the professions and/or the wider community.

John Pillay
Chair for the VU Marketing Management Supply Chain & Logistics Industry Advisory Committee
Dr John Pillay is a senior executive at ANZ Bank, responsible for leading transformational change programmes of work. An experienced strategist, business leader and change director, John currently leads the Home Ownership Transformation Programme; a CEO priority and end-to-end refresh of the Home Loans platform and business. Previous changes that he has led at ANZ include the transformations of Wholesale Lending, Risk, Shared Services and Corporate Centre functions.
Prior to ANZ, John headed up a UK based financial services change consultancy business, and before that was a senior manager at Barclays Bank. John obtained his doctorate from Cranfield University (UK), researching the topic of corporate turnaround; additional qualifications include an MBA and Masters in Business Information Systems.

Tony Aitkenhead
Tony is an experienced and innovative executive with a proven track record. He has specialised in strategic IT-enabled change and delivery, including digital transformation, digital, organisational, cultural and business process change. Tony has held a range of senior management and executive positions. He has depth of skill and competency in business change, information technology, finance and investment, program and project management and ICT innovation.
Many roles have required him to be an effective adviser on key ICT commercial matters. He has a strong focus on developing practical approaches to solve key business issues. He is values-driven, has strong personal integrity, demonstrates leadership, is delivery and outcomes focused and has delivered strategy and implemented policy in complex environments.
Tony is currently a Director in the Victorian Government’s, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. He has previously held Executive roles in the Department of Treasury and Finance, Department of State Development, Business and Innovation, Department of Human Services, Department of Justice and Telstra.

Kelli Eaton
As the General Manager - Transport for The Super Retail Group, Kelli Eaton is accountable for developing transport operations service performance standards for Australia and New Zealand as well as bringing to life innovative delivery capability to support the customer experience for Omni-Retail.
Kelli has over 20 years' experience in Domestic and International Transport, Inventory Management, Production Planning and Warehouse Operations. A significant portion of her career was spent with Carlton & United Breweries where she held several positions including General Manager Inventory and Linehaul accountable for both domestic and international consumer products.
Kelli most recently worked in the Resources sector at Minerals and Metals Group (MMG Ltd). She successfully completed an organisational wide transformation project leading the redesign and implementation of supply chain processes and technology across remote and complex locations. Through her leadership, MMG were able to realise their strategic vision of a Standardised Global Operating Model.
Kelli’s passion for Supply Chain is matched by her ability to develop and foster key relationships, drive innovative, and transformational change initiatives resulting in bottom-line growth.

Greg Evans
In his role as a Distribution Centre Manager for Linfox, Greg is responsible for a major multinational contact that services both Australian and overseas markets with FMCG products.
He has over 20 years’ experience in logistics including warehousing, transport, linehaul and wharf cartage. A significant portion of Greg's career has been spent in 3PL management positions with various industrial and retail customers. His experience in warehouse management systems has been instrumental in implementing new and innovative systems, including involvement in warehouse redevelopments on behalf of customers.
Greg’s background in logistics, coupled with stakeholder engagement skills, sees him strive to improve customer relationships through cost-effective and innovative solutions that benefit all partners within the supply chain.

Maxwell Gratton
Maxwell is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Basketball ACT. He is also the National Vice President of the Graduate Management Association of Australia and a Committee Member of the Victoria University Alumni Advisory Group. Maxwell previously worked for ComfortDelGro Cabcharge (CDC) Victoria, Football Federation Victoria and NetSports Management, amongst others, and has served on the Boards and Committees of numerous community and sport organisations.

Sally Pyke
Associate Director, Management Consulting, KPMG Australia
Sally is passionate about the consumer goods industry and specialises in strategic performance improvement and the application of disruptive technologies. She has worked with many of Australia’s leading consumer goods companies to help drive strategic and operational performance improvement.
Sally has co-authored a number of publications primarily focused on the future of supply chain and how organisations can best embrace rapidly changing market conditions, consumer preferences and emerging technologies.
In addition she is a key member for the KPMG global supply chain training team and regularly runs training courses to help ensure team members are up to date with the latest supply chain trends and technologies.
Prior to joining KPMG, Sally held senior supply chain roles in the food industry.
Daniell Wilden
Daniell is the General Manager of Supply Chain for Downer Rail with responsibility for five sites across QLD, NSW and Victoria that support train manufacturing, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance.
Supply Chain & Logistics has been at the centre of Daniell’s career to date. He has held roles within both the automotive (Ford Performance Vehicles, Toyota) and rail (Metro Trains, Downer) industries.
From his time at Victoria University, Daniell was able to establish a sound career with Toyota Australia (within Australia and across Asia Pacific) and then make the transition into rail to further diversify and expand his capabilities.
Daniell has maintained an active role at Victoria University, including delivering conference papers with a long time mentor Ian Sadler as well as stints in sessional teaching. This provides an opportunity for him to share his experiences and help prepare graduates for future roles in the Supply Chain & Logistics industry.

Marija Tastanoska
Marija recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business with majors in Accounting, Banking and Finance at Victoria University. While studying her bachelor degree, she had the opportunity to gain real-world experience within multiple entities through internships, mentoring programs, traineeships and permanent roles.
Marija is currently a Graduate Tax Analyst at Deloitte where she contributes to various plans and program-development strategies to help transform global employment programs in a tax- and cost-efficient manner. She is also a CPA Australia ambassador and has encouraged many relationships between VU stakeholders and CPA.
Besides these activities, Marija is also a treasurer for Starblue Consultancy where she oversees the financial insights of the business to ensure financial development and growth.
Previously, Marija was also a Lead Mentor at VU where she mentored and led peers, provided them with advice and support about their studies and encouraged them to succeed.
