If you find that the course you enrolled in is not right for you, and want to take another course at Victoria University, you may consider applying for a course transfer.
VU may give preference to an internal applicant above an external applicant at our discretion, in accordance with the selection criteria for the course.
There is no guarantee that your application will be successful. Please do not withdraw from your existing course until you have received confirmation that you have been accepted into the new course.
If you're a domestic student currently enrolled in a VU course at any level, you may apply internally for another VU course. You'll need to satisfy the same entry requirements as other applicants for the course.
When you're ready to apply, find the course that you're interested in, and click 'Apply direct to VU' (only visible when applications are open for that course).

If you're considering changing courses within VU, you will need to apply for the course through International Admission.
Once you have received the offer, you need to accept it, then withdraw from your current course. A new Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be issued to you on acceptance.
The Department of Home Affairs will automatically be notified of the changes to your enrolment.
If your visa is valid for the duration of the new course, you don't need to apply for a visa extension.

If you’re not happy with your current university, consider transferring to VU.
Under the VU Block Model®, you can study one subject at a time in four-week blocks, before you progress to the next.
This means you don’t need to wait until next year or even mid-year to start studying at VU.
Domestic students who are considering transferring to another provider can do so by officially withdrawing from the course.
If you have been granted a student visa after accepting an offer to study at Victoria University, you need to complete at least six calendar months of your principal course at VU.
If you have been offered a package deal, comprising multiple courses, your principal course is the highest qualification/ last course you had chosen to undertake at VU.
Once you have completed the six calendar months in your principal course, you can transfer to another provider and won't require a release. You need to officially withdraw from your course at VU, in writing, by completing and submitting the course withdrawal forms.
The Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be cancelled and VU will notify the Department of Home Affairs of the change.
