Getting started checklist
Log in to MyVU & VU Collaborate
MyVU
MyVU provides access to all your Victoria University details including invoices, enrolment, results and examination information.
Use MyVU to manage and access:
- your enrolment details
- your Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- your student email
- lecture recordings and VU Collaborate (learning management system)
- your timetable
- online request for your student ID card.
VU Collaborate
Log in to VU Collaborate through MyVU to view your unit content and upload assessments.
You can also use VU Collaborate to communicate and collaborate with your peers, tutors and instructors and stay up to date with your learning progress.
Create a personalised Success Plan
If you are a Higher Education (HE) student, answer a short series of questions to create a personalised Success Plan in MyVU.
Your Success Plan includes ways to:
- succeed in your studies
- achieve your academic goals
- overcome any obstacles to success.
You will also be assigned a Student Advisor who will help you on your journey.
Access support services
TAFE student support
If you’re experiencing issues or challenges in your course, you can seek support with our TAFE Student Support team. We can:
- provide advice
- assist you in accessing all VU student services
- direct you to specialised supports and services outside of VU, depending on your needs
- provide ongoing or follow-up support
- arrange group work and guest speaker workshops.

Explore library resources
We have seven libraries across our campuses.
The libraries offer a variety of facilities and services and operate with different opening hours throughout the year.
Libraries provide access to individual and group study spaces, PCs, and printing. VU libraries also offer useful online resources that you can access both on and off campus using your MyVU login.

Dates and deadlines vary by year and course.
For example, the VU Block Model® differs from the traditional semesters in payment dates and census dates (deadlines for making changes to your units without penalties).

- census dates and fee-payment deadlines, including deadlines to submit your TFN (tax file number)
- academic calendar dates, including semester information and examination periods.
