VU Sydney Pathway to Success Scholarship
The VU Sydney Pathway to Success Scholarship provides 2024 commencing students with an annual reduction of $10,000 in tuition fees. Students commencing our undergraduate, postgraduate and higher education diploma programs in IT and Business are eligible for this scholarship. The Scholarship is open to all international onshore and offshore students who are commencing with VU Sydney in 2024 and who meet the entry requirements.

How to apply: Students will automatically be assessed for the pathway to success scholarship at the time of application.
Value (2024 commencing students): Annual value of $10,000 (and divided into 8 units) for the first year of study, and $10,000 per year thereafter if you maintain satisfactory academic progress. Please refer to terms and conditions below

- Students must pay the required tuition fee deposit to accept their offer. The remaining balance is due before the course start date.
- Students who have received a scholarship or sponsorship from another organisation for their VU course are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Students with approval to reduce their study load are eligible to receive a reduced scholarship, based on the number of units taken (pro-rata).
- Students returning from approved Leave of Absence are eligible to continue receiving the scholarship until the course end date in their letter of offer.
- New students receiving advanced standing for previous studies are eligible for the Pathway to Success Scholarship for the remaining standard duration of eligible courses.
- Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress in their first year of the course for the scholarship to be maintained in their second year of study.
- Students will continue to remain eligible to receive the Pathway to Success Scholarship for their approved study duration, providing the student pays all tuition and additional fees/costs in full by the payment due date of each study period, and meets the conditions of their student visa.
- The Pathway to Success is not refundable, convertible to cash, or transferable to another individual, commencing study period, or course.
- This scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of the University.
- Victoria University may make changes to these terms and conditions without notice.
- The University’s decision concerning the assessment of eligibility for the Scholarship is final, and there is no right of appeal should the student be unsuccessful in securing the scholarship, or has the scholarship withdrawn.

- The VU Sydney & Brisbane Early Childhood Education International Scholarship is not refundable or convertible to cash.
- The VU Sydney & Brisbane Early Childhood Education International Scholarship cannot be transferred to another individual or course.
- The VU Sydney & Brisbane Early Childhood Education International Scholarship cannot be deferred into commencement in a new study period without reassessment of eligibility.
- New students receiving advanced standing for previous studies are eligible for the VU Sydney & Brisbane Early Childhood Education International Scholarship for the remaining standard duration of eligible courses. If the remaining duration is eight units or less, they will receive a 10% scholarship only.
- Students with approval to reduce their study load are eligible to receive a reduced scholarship, based on the number of units taken (pro-rata) until the course end date in their letter of offer.
- Students returning from approved Leave of Absence (Intermission) are eligible to continue receiving the scholarship until the course end date in their letter of offer.
- Current VU Sydney & Brisbane students receiving a different VU Sydney/Brisbane scholarship who wish to change from one course to another with advanced standing (credits) are eligible for a continuation of their existing scholarship only.
- Students applying for re-admission are eligible for a 10% scholarship only.
- Students will continue to remain eligible to receive the The VU Sydney & Brisbane Early Childhood Education International Scholarship providing the student pays all tuition and additional fees/costs for each study period, and meets the conditions of their student visa.
- Scholarships only apply to eligible students during their period of study at VU Sydney/Brisbane and cannot be allocated retrospectively to students who are no longer enrolled.
- The University’s decision concerning the assessment of eligibility for the Scholarship is final, and there is no right of appeal should the student be unsuccessful in securing the scholarship or have the scholarship withdrawn.

VU Sydney Global Citizen Scholarship
Our VU Sydney and VU Brisbane Global Citizen Scholarship offers a reduction of 20% on tuition fees for students commencing our undergraduate, postgraduate and higher education diploma programs in IT and Business. The Scholarship is open to international students (offshore and onshore) from the defined diverse regions and are commencing with VU Sydney or VU Brisbane in 2023.
How to apply: Students will automatically be assessed for the Global Citizen Scholarship at the time of application.
Value (2023 commencement): 20% off the course tuition fee for the first two semesters of the course, and 20% thereafter if you successfully complete all units in your first year of study (calculated from the date of commencement to the course end date in the letter of offer).

VU Sydney Alumni Grant
Add another qualification from a world-class university to your résumé and stand out with the VU Sydney Alumni Grant.
The VU Sydney Alumni Grant is offered to eligible students seeking admission to business or IT postgraduate programs who have completed a Bachelor of Business (BBNS), Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) or Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS) at VU Sydney.
This grant will provide students with a tuition fee waiver for two units. Students will also be eligible for four units of Credit (Advanced Standing) towards their master’s degree if the undergraduate degree has been completed in the same discipline area as the proposed postgraduate course.
This means the cost of a 16 unit postgraduate program can be made available for you for the price of 10 units.
How to apply: Students will be automatically assessed for the grant at the time of application for admission into an eligible VU Sydney postgraduate qualification.
Scholarship value (2023 commencement): Two VU Sydney postgraduate units, valued at AU$5,896 after the VU Sydney Global Excellence Scholarship is applied.
Eligibility (2023 commencement): Students who have completed the following undergraduate programs in 2021, 2022 or 2023 with VU Sydney will receive four (4) cognate units of Credit (Advanced Standing) and the VU Sydney Alumni Grant:
- Bachelor of Business (BBNS)
- Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT)
- Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS).
Credit (Advanced Standing) eligibility
Bachelor of Business students (BBNS) will be granted 4 units in Credit (Advanced Standing) units towards:
- Master of Enterprise Resource Planning (BMEN)
- Master of Professional Accounting (BMAQ)
- Master of Business Analytics (BMBU)
- Master of Supply Chain Management (BMSU)
- Master of Business Administration (Global) (BMAG)
Graduates of the Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) and Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS) will be granted 4 units in Credit (Advanced Standing) units towards:
- Master of Applied Information Technology (NMIT).
Terms & conditions
- Students will have the fees waived for two units if they are progressing to a postgraduate course after having completed an undergraduate program at VU Sydney in 2021, 2022 or 2023 in the same cognate discipline.
- The grant is applied to a unit in each of the first semester and final semester of study.
- Students will be assessed for Advanced Standing in line with the VU Advanced Standing Procedure, Credit- Advanced Standing Procedure (HE) and VU Admissions Policy.
- The credit from the grant will be applied to tuition fees only.
- If a student fails a unit for which the grant was applied, they will be liable for the unit’s tuition fee for their repeat attempt of it.
- The University’s decision concerning the assessment of eligibility for the Scholarship is final, and there is no right of appeal should the student be unsuccessful in securing the scholarship, or has the scholarship withdrawn.
IT Career Launcher Scholarship
The IT Career Launcher Scholarship is awarded to students who have completed an Australian Diploma or Advanced Diploma of IT and have not received 8 or 10 units respectively in Credit (Advanced Standing) towards their Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Cyber Security at VU Sydney. It covers tuition fees for up to two units of study.
How to apply: Students will be automatically assessed for the grant at the time of application for admission into an eligible VU Sydney Bachelor degree.
Scholarship value (2022 commencement): Two VU Sydney undergraduate units, valued at AU$5,236 (for two units) after the VU Sydney Global Excellence Scholarship has been applied.
Eligibility (2023 commencement):
Onshore VU Sydney applicants who receive a full offer for the Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) or Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS) for commencement in 2023 who have completed an AQF Diploma of IT, and receive less than eight units in credit in Credit (Advanced Standing) will receive a scholarship equivalent to the fees of up to two units. In the event where 6 units or less have been granted, then a scholarship of equivalent to 2 units will be granted. In the event where 7 units or have been granted, then a scholarship of equivalent to 1 unit will be granted.
Onshore VU Sydney applicants who receive a full offer for the Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) or Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS) for commencement in 2023 who have completed an AQF Advanced Diploma of IT and receive less than 10 units in credit in Credit (Advanced Standing) will receive a scholarship equivalent to the fees of up to two units. In the event where 10 units or less have been granted, then a scholarship of equivalent to 2 units will be granted. In the event where 11 units or have been granted, then a scholarship of equivalent to 1 unit will be granted.
Terms & conditions
- Students will have the fees waived for two units if they have received a full offer to the VU Sydney Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) or Bachelor of Cyber Security (NCBS) who have completed an AQF Diploma of Information Technology and receive eight or fewer units of Credit (Advanced Standing), or an AQF Advanced Diploma of Information Technology and receive ten or fewer units of Credit (Advanced Standing).
- The IT Career Launcher Scholarship is only available to students commencing the Bachelor of Information Technology (NBIT) or Bachelor of Cyber Security (NBCS) at VU Sydney in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
- Students cannot access the IT Career Launcher Grant if already in receipt of the VU Sydney Global Citizen Scholarship.
- The IT Career Launcher Scholarship can be accessed in conjunction with the VU Sydney Global Excellence Scholarship.
- The IT Career Launcher Scholarship is only available to students who have completed an AQF Diploma of Information Technology and receive less than 8 units of Credit (Advanced Standing), or have completed an AQF Advanced Diploma of Information Technology and receive ten or fewer units in Credit (Advanced Standing) towards the NBIT or NBCS courses at VU Sydney.
- Students will be assessed for Credit (Advanced Standing) in line with the VU Credit - Academic Credit Procedure, VU Credit Policy and VU Admissions Policy.
- In the event where a single unit is granted, that unit will be issued in scholarship in the final semester of study.
- In the event where a 2 units are granted, the first unit will be issued in the second semester of study. The final unit of scholarship will be issued in the final semester of study. In order to receive the second unit of scholarship, all semester invoices must be paid on time, as per the payment due date of those invoices.
- If a student fails a unit for which the scholarship was applied, they will be liable for the unit’s tuition fee for their repeat attempt of it.
- The IT Career Launcher Scholarship will only be applied when the commencing student has enrolled in a full-time study load in their first semester of study and have paid the first instalment in full.
- All The University’s decision concerning the assessment of eligibility for the Scholarship is final, and there is no right of appeal should the student be unsuccessful in securing the scholarship, or has the scholarship withdrawn.
